Manage your stress - Find help with the Society of Stress Managers

What is stress management?

Stress management is a method of taking everyday strains and problems, and using techniques to aid you in dealing with them sensibly and easily, to avoid stress build up and anxiety. Members of The Society of Stress Managers are trained to show you how to cope with life in a different, more positive way. Our practitioners have undergone a stringent training programme in Hypnotherapy, Analysis techniques (Communication Processes) and general health promotion. National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) are an intrinsic part of our training to provide national accreditation and standards.

Our methods help you to deal with all aspects of stress and stress-related problems.

A FREE, no obligation Initial Assessment interview is offered to every client in order to assess individual needs, to explain what is involved and to give clients the opportunity to ask any questions.

A course of treatment consists of a combination of Hypnosis and Analysis (Communication) sessions.

Hypnosis is a normal, natural state of mind, a state of deep relaxation, a state of altered consciousness. It is completely safe, harmless and non-addictive. It uses the power of the mind, to relieve anxiety, stress and tension, to remove negative thoughts, to alter unwanted behaviour, to change long standing habits and to alleviate or eliminate a wide variety of stress-related or psychosomatic problems. Hypnosis promotes feelings of well-being and is a positive power for good, which improves both physical and mental health. No medication or drugs are used and there are no negative or unpleasant side effects. No more than a light hypnotic trance is required to be effective. A personalised tape of your actual hypnosis session is made for you to use at home on a daily basis.

The Analysis (Communication) processes are conducted at a fully conscious level. These are designed as self-realisation, self-awareness sessions, to enable you to make connections and to see for yourself where your problems have come from, what to do about them and how to find your own solutions.

All our practitioners guarantee complete confidentiality for our clients.

Fellows of The Society of Stress Managers also treat employees in companies and other organisations on a contractual basis.
